Trials matchmaking in a nutshell is winning one game against people Complain all you want about stasis after the match or in uh, articles or YouTube videos, but if youre trying to win, theres no point trying to lament about being slowed or frozen because itsjust how it is, and passive aggressive complaining isnt going to help you. I defined "even" matchmaking as both teams having the same amount of premade fireteams. Of course, XP is gained from winning Trials matches, but many players found more joy in dashing the hopesof other players or denying them the very loot that could be used to defeat them the following week. It is mostly based on wins, so the more wins you get the harder the teams will be otherwise it is the "sweaty" game mode meant for people who want to win so I'd suggest you stick to the control game type until you're comfortable with pvp unless you don't care about winning since you can still get trials loot now without winning. However, throughout this time in Trials of Osiris, one glaring issue could have helped pave the way towards a more stable experience for all players: skill-based matchmaking. Thats even tougher. The weapons are completely garbage with the exception of a few, and its more effective to jump off the map than to actually play. I often play alone so I will always be slightly biased towards making activities more accessable and fun for solo players. I wanted to get a better understanding of matchmaking in Trials - not skill based or connection based matchmaking - but looking at how often teams were "unevenly" matched when playing solo.
